A small team obsessed with real adventure, building trips that push bodies and feed souls.
We’re not a huge agency chasing volume. We’re a tight crew of active travelers who got tired of watered-down tours and decided to create the experiences we always wanted ourselves.
TourMANN began a few years back when a group of friends – climbers, surfers, trail runners, and desert wanderers – kept coming home from trips feeling short-changed. Too many buses, too much waiting around, not enough actual movement or time in real nature.
So we pooled our savings, mapped out routes we knew firsthand, and launched the first handful of trips for friends and friends-of-friends. Word spread quick because people felt the difference: every day was built around physical effort, honest immersion, and zero fluff.
Today we’re still small by choice. That lets us keep quality high, groups intimate, and routes authentic. Same spirit, bigger map.
Travel should make you stronger, not softer. We design every itinerary around meaningful daily activity – waves, trails, pedals, or raw terrain – because that’s when you feel most alive.
We choose simple lodges, huts, camps, and riads over resorts. Nature is the luxury. Silence, stars, salt air, and sore muscles beat marble lobbies every time.
Our trips are demanding but accessible. You don’t need to be an elite athlete, just fit enough to enjoy the effort. We welcome women and men equally – strength and stamina have no gender.
Our guides are the backbone. Most grew up in the places we visit or have spent years exploring them deeply. They’re surfers who know every break’s mood, mountaineers who read weather in the ridges, desert trackers who navigate by stars.
They’re also teachers – patient with beginners, pushing intermediates, always prioritizing safety and real learning. Many speak multiple languages, all share stories that turn good days into great ones.
Behind the scenes, our small operations team in Vermont handles logistics so guides can focus on what they do best: getting you safely into the wild and back out stronger.
We run small groups to minimize impact. We work with local families for lodging and food whenever possible. We pack out everything, support conservation projects in the areas we visit, and choose partners who share our respect for the environment.
Adventure is a privilege. Protecting the places that give it to us is non-negotiable.
If you’re done with ordinary vacations and ready for trips that challenge your body and reset your mind, you’re in the right place.
Browse the adventures, pick the one that scares you just the right amount, and let’s get moving.
